CLIENT: World POG™ Federation
OBJECTIVE: Create an international toy phenomenon and generate
wealth by branding and marketing a little known children's game from
Hawaii played with cardboard milkcaps.
SOLUTION: As Executive Vice President, Creative Director and
founding partner of World POG™ Federation, Campaign Coalition president
Shane DeRolf helped negotiate the purchase
of the POG™ trademark from the Haleakala Dairy in Maui,
Hawaii and build a company that went from zero to over $25
million in sales in less than 18 months. Responsibilities
included Strategic Planning, Branding, Marketing, Licensing
and Education. Developed the Educational Division and licensed
the rights to produce educational POG™ brand milkcaps from the
Core Knowledge Foundation. Created the company mascot,
POGMAN™ and wrote six children's books for Random House.
Helped negotiate and secure the master toy license with
Hasbro for POG™ The Game. Conceived and wrote the Global
Licensing Strategy that served as the blueprint for the
company's licensing division, the single most profitable
division of the company. |
